APEC Training & Certification Program for Small Business Counsellors
The APEC-IBIZ program offers Business Counsellors at all levels of experience, the opportunity to develop their personal counselling skills to an internationally recognized level. The program was developed to professionalize small business counselling in the Asia Pacific region and, ultimately, sustain the growth and competitiveness of SMEs.
Industry Canada, acting on a recommendation of APEC-IBIZ, issued a Request For Proposals seeking to select an Economy Institute to deliver the APEC-IBIZ program in Canada. Because of its reputation as a leader in entrepreneurial and small business development, its strength in adult education, and the participation of national partners, the Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship (ACSBE) was selected as Canada's Economy Institute.
