We are accepting applications for a brand new YOUTH program in the Hubbards area.
ACSBE (Acadia Centre for Social and Business and Entrepreneurship) is offering a program to 10 youth from the Hubbards area to help them employability skills and connect with their community.
The program is 13 weeks in total – seven weeks in a “group” setting with workshops, information sessions and training that will prepare you for employment or self-employment.
Once they have completed the “classroom” portion, each participant will spend six weeks working and learning in local businesses to gain the practical experiences needed to succeed.
The overall goal of the program is to have each person in the program determine the career or job that would be right for them. Once they have done this they will get a chance to explore this field in-depth and learn from others in the field. Some may choose to pursue further training, some may go right to work, others may look into starting their own business - whatever direction they take, ACSBE will help them move forward in this direction.
